Back cover of the CD, development- Task 9

Here in this picture shows the type of fonts and text that I have begun to include on the back cover of my CD. For the track names e.g. 'All in my head', I decided to use the same dont as used in the front cover and spine of the CD as to follow through with the house style. However I added a different font for the numbers for each track. I done this purely to add a more sophisticated touch to the back cover and not make everything look the same. Therefore you can differentiate between the tracks and the numbers of each track.

 Furthermore, I chose to put the numbers in white and the track names in purple to follow through with the use of colours throughout the CD, therefore not making my CD childish-looking in any way as I have stuck with three colours throughout.

I began to make the back of the CD cover today. I chose this image because I felt like the audience needed to be shown how stressed the artist really was, therefore allowing an emotional connection to form. I placed the image into photoshop and placed it towards the right so that there was space on the left to place text for the tracks etc. I also added my rulers as a guidance where to not place text over.

Spine of the CD development- Task 9

In today's lesson, I finished the spine for my CD. I changed the colour of this go black as my whole CD background is black, therefore it had to match. Furthermore I changed the placing of the text so that it didn't look too randomly placed. I found the making of the spine for the CD pretty easy as my photoshop skills are quite good so it made this part of the CD easy to make.

Today I placed the right measurements into photoshop so that I could create the spine for my CD. I have followed my house still through the process of making my CD by using the colour purple in the same letters that were used on the front cover. I also used the same font to carry on with the house style theme.

Today, I decided to change the placement of the text "Tori Kelly". I moved them closer together because I felt as if the gap between the two words was way too far and it didn't look very professional. I knew that I could do a better job of this, therefore I aligned the text and made it closer together. Furthermore, I decided to use my own idea of adding the colour purple to the letter I and Y because I felt like once I experimented with it, it looked like it worked and I felt like it was extremely effective. Therefore I am going to use this theme throughout the whole CD cover, so it'll be used on the spine, the CD itself and the back cover of the XD.

When I carried on editing my front cover, I decided to add the text. I went for a simplistic yet effective font. I chose this font because it was mature and not to cheesy or girly, therefore this font suited all audiences as I want this album to relate to both guys and girls. 

Furthermore, I decided to include a colour within the text of the album name. I took this idea from Adele's 21 album as I felt like it created an effect that connotes  a sympathetic yet sign of independence. I decided to place the title of the albumat the bottom of the CD cover and the Artist's name at the top right hand corner of the cover because the album name is the most important, hence why it goes across the bottom. Then the words "Tori Kelly" needs to be appealing and in the right placement on then CD cover to promote the artist herself and to attract the audience to this album.

Today I started creating the front cover for my cd. I added my rulers in so that I have guidance to where the text cannot go over. I also changed the contrast and brightness levels of this photo to make it appear more balanced and it also made Ashaaana's skin more even looking.
